Akasia Golf Academy brings the next level of quality Coaching and service institution in advancing any needs in all aspects of the game as well as the business thereof. Being relevant and focused on basic fundamentals for growing all categories of golf in our club and surrounding community. Making sure to advance, promote and support the love for game from Akasia Golf Club.

New To Golf?

Don’t stress! Our 5 Professionals will provide you with an introductory program to ease you into the game. If you don’t have a golf set, we will help to supply for a start, then help find you a set to suit your needs.

WHAT WE OFFER

Lessons are hosted by all 5 Academy coaches and are available to all. All lessons come with Video Analysis to support visual learning. Students swings are videoed and shared to study at home and kept for reference.

Adult Individual Lessons – 60 minutes
Adult 2 for 1 Lessons – 60 minutes
Junior Semi-group/ Individual Lessons – 45 and 30 minutes
Playing Lessons – On course 60 minutes
Playing Lessons – Full Course and 9 Holes
Corporate Clinics
Friends or Family Group Lessons
Golf Day Hosting and Planning
School Leagues and Development support

Our Facility

Full driving range, chipping green, practice bunker and a practice putting green with the full 18 hole golf course.
Our Academy is open 6 days a week, Monday to Saturday, with the first lesson generally given at 07:00 and last at 17:00.

JUNIOR GOLF

Don’t let the Juniors miss out! We specialize in Junior Development and making sure that the path to fully developed a student to be well explained and communicated for giving their journey to top golf the best chance of reaching their highest high.

Junior Holiday Clinics (during school holidays) are available! These 2 day Holiday Clinics encompassing 2 days of 18/9 hole games, drills and practice sessions (Swing, Pitching, Chipping, Bunkers, Putting, Rules and Etiquette etc.)

Costs will be dependent on the number of Juniors attending the clinic.

Dieter Snyders

Your Full-time Golf Coach, coaching this great game for the last 24 years with the main goal to ensure the love of the game and to enjoy the journey of developing in what this great game has to offer us. Each person has their own end goal and getting their is why we are here, helping students to bridge the Gap from one level of playing ability to the next, from beginner to intermediate, from intermediate to advance as well as from amateur to Professional.

Richard Joubert

I am a Young and Vibrant coach with 4 years experience playing on the Sunshine Tour as a Professional player. I have a deep love for the newer and younger generation of golfers in South Africa and if I am not playing, my main focus is teaching the greatest game of all.

Qualifications – PGA Diploma from University of Pretoria

Moses Makgamatha

I am a PGA level 1 coach since 2019 and specializing in teaching beginner players as well as focusing on students under 18 years. At Akasia I am also coaching for the SAGDB and love developing players towards loving the game and discovering their full potential.

Lenanda vd Watt

I am a Professional Ladies Golfer playing on the current Ladies Sunshine Tour and WPGA Tour. I achieved my Protea colours and Participated in the Long Drive competitions and was SA Champ in the 2017/2018 Season. Currently I am working with a lot of fresh Golf talent and focus on giving my playing experience and knowledge to those how pursuit to learn the game. I love teaching my students to become as good as they can possibly be and strive to achieve their goal’s.

Christaan Pretorius

I am a Professional player since 2003 and golf coach for the past 6 years. The experience of playing on the highest level in South Africa are the attributes that I work into my coaching, spotting small technicalities that can make huge differences in the golf swing. My focus is to advance golfers of all ages and handicaps to be the best player they can be with result driven coaching. By making small changes we achieve big results.
